I have lived in Texas most of my life but spent a few childhood years with my family on Air Force bases outside the state. For the last ten years, I've volunteered for conservative candidates and causes. I have served on the board of several Collin County Republican and conservative organizations. I've also been a member of McKinney Noon Lions Club and have delivered meals for Collin County Meals on Wheels.
I'm married to Jim Skinner. Our son is a West Point graduate who lives in Central Texas with his wife and daughter.
